Every Student Deserves a Teacher Who Stays
Help us train 200 bilingual educators this year and keep them in classrooms for good
When a bilingual teacher burns out and leaves, their students lose more than an instructor; they lose a mirror. Someone who speaks their language, literally and culturally. Someone who chose them.
Instituto Mundo Verde (IMV) exists so that doesn't have to happen.
We are a practitioner-led professional development initiative built by bilingual educators, for bilingual educators; the Latino and Black language teachers who are hungry to grow, but too often shut out by systems that weren't designed with them in mind.
Our flagship program, The Fellowship / La Confraternidad, is a free, eight-month learning experience that gives educators the skills, community, and confidence to thrive in dual-language classrooms. No lecture-based content. No one-size-fits-all workshops. Just real, actionable strategies; implemented in real classrooms, with real feedback from coaches who've been there.
The results speak for themselves:
- ✅ 100% of Fellows stay in education after completing the program
- ✅ $3.40 returned for every $1 invested, driven by reduced teacher turnover
- ✅ 98% satisfaction rate across six cohorts
- ✅ 84% of Fellows attribute career advancement directly to the Fellowship
- ✅ 1,000+ educators trained, supporting students in 180+ districts nationwide
This year, we're raising $150,000 to sustain and grow our programs; keeping The Fellowship free and continuing to build the tools that make great teaching possible.
Your gift today is an investment in a teacher. And through them, in every student they'll teach for the rest of their career.
¡Believe y adelante!
